Dan Farnham was the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Reinhardt University from 2001-2014, where he established a tough, competitive, and respected program in the Appalachian Athletic Conference of the NAIA. An active youth coach all the while, he has worked with Cherokee Impact, NASA, and UFA. Currently he coaches at Roswell Santos Soccer Club where his twin brother, Mike, is the Director.

Coach Farnham grew up playing soccer in Wheaton, Illinois. He played in the competitive Chicago land youth select system with the Wheaton Wings and later with the Chicago Croatians Soccer Club. An Illinois high school All-State selection Dan played DI soccer for the Panthers of Eastern Illinois University. One of his most memorable youth experiences was a 5-week tour of Europe competing in the Gothia Cup in Sweden, the Dana Cup and the Norway Cup and visiting and training in Holland and Russia.

Dan played professionally in the United Soccer Leagues for the Myrtle Beach Boyz (SC) in 1995 and the Wilmington Hammer Heads (NC) during the 1996 season. Both teams advanced to the national semi-final rounds in their inaugural seasons. The Hammer Heads lost to Piteira’s Charleston Battery in the 1996 semi-finals.

After he finished playing, Dan turned his full attention to youth coaching and the opportunity to work in the front office of a USL Soccer Team. He relocated to Charleston, SC in 1996, where he was the Director of the Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department’s Youth Soccer Program, while he also worked for the Charleston Barttery as a marketing and promotions coordinator and as the Voice of the Battery.

In 1999, Coach Farnham moved to Atlanta to work for the Atlanta Silverbacks as their Ticket Sales/Public Relations Director and Voice of the Silverbacks. He was also the Recreation Director of Coaching at Stone Mountain YSA. He held both positions until 2001 when he accepted the Head Men’s Soccer Coach position at Reinhardt University.

Coach Farnham and his wife, Lisa, live in Canton, GA with their daughter, Madeline.
